One of Austria’s best-known and most popular ski resorts, Stubaital is located about 10 km south of Innsbruck. The dominant feature of this Alpine valley is the Stubai glacier, which offers excellent snow conditions from October through June. The area has 4 individual ski resorts with a total of 150 km of ski runs. Schönberg, Mieders, Telfes, Fulpmes and Neustift are some of the valley’s typical Tyrolean villages. The local ‘ski-pass’ (Stubaier Super-Skipass) is valid at all 4 of the local resorts. The price for the ski-pass also includes access to the covered swimming pools in Neustift and Fulpmes.

The Schlick 2000 ski resort is located above the villages of Fulpmes and Telfes and it offers ski runs of varying levels of difficulty, entertainment activities in ten aprés-ski huts and a children’s play park (Ronnys Kinderland). The Elfer ski resort is located above the villages of Neustift and Milders. It offers excellent, advanced ski runs, which descend into the valley through the local forest and Austria’s two longest, natural toboggan runs (8 and 8.5 km). The resort also has a Mickey Mouse Club for children.

For true ski connoisseurs, there is an excellent, untreated trail (Wilde Grub´n), which descends from the glacier all the way down to the gondola station at the bottom. There is also a carving run and the highest elevated restaurant in Austria (Jochdohle, elev. 3,150 m). Fans of nightlife will be able to choose from a variety of clubs, bars, aprés-ski activities and dance clubs. More information about the region can be found at and
